Randy Probst

"I love to make people happy through music. Music heals me, so in turn I would like to think that music helps others to heal as well. Jupiter Hollow's music is a catalyst towards that end."

When did you start playing music and what made you start?

Music was always a part of my life. My father played 5 string banjo and harmonica, my brother played guitar, and my mother was an avid Motown fan. Lots of bluegrass, soul and British invasion music flowed through my head as a child. I started playing my brother's right-handed guitars at around 6 or 6 years of age.

What other bands and musicians have influenced or inspired you?
My mother and father. African, Cuban, Brazilian music, Pat Metheny, Jean Luc-Ponty, George Duke, Grateful Dead, many others.

What's the last thing you listened to?
Brazilian music (circa '70) Jorge Ben, Cactano Veloso, Azymuth

What are your other interests besides music?
Current events, politics, gaming.
